Wine Dreamers is now a member of the Communication and MKT team of the Movimento Turismo del Vino (www.movimentodelvino.it) which was founded in 1993 with the aim of promoting wine culture through visits to places of Italian production.

For this reason, in the same year, it also opens the Cantine Aperte day which, in twenty years, led Italy to have about four million wine tourists, with a turnover of € 5 billion and an annual growth perspective 8% (data Censis).

To the so-called wine tourists the Movement wants, on the one hand, to teach more about the activities and products of the participating wineries and on the other one, to offer an example of how the Italian wine makers can do business in accordance with the traditions, environmental protection agriculture and quality.

At the same time, the Movimento Turismo del Vino aims to foster a growing prestige of the member wineries and new prospects for economic development.

The Association currently has more than 1,000 of the most prestigious cellars of Italy, selected on the basis of specific requirements, first of all the quality of the wine tourism. The events of national character are 5: Cantine Aperte, Calici di Stelle, Benvenuta Vendemmia, San Martino in Cantina, Natale in Cantina.

Thanks to an agreement with Wine Dreamers starting today the Wine Club of The New York Times will offer Italian wine producers the unique opportunity to reach an exclusive audience of wine lovers in the United States.

An Italian wine tasting is a journey to discover our beautiful rural landscape, the passion of the winemakers who lovingly carry on thousands of years of tradition.
